Charlotte and Josh
Carden's Photography is a Photography studio capturing weddings in Sanibel Island, Florida. This was an awesome day with Charlotte and Josh. Their wedding was held right on the beach in Sanibel Island. They had only close family present for the celebration. This intimate beach wedding was a perfect way to complete our 2017 photography year. Here is their wedding photography highlights.
When I arrived to house, Charlotte was on her way in from the salon where she got her hair and makeup done. I went ahead and set up some detail shots. I used a window sil for some natural light on the rings. Charlotte does not have her wedding ban yet. She wasnt able to find the perfect one yet. I am sure along the way the perfect band will come across their path.
Charlotte insisted on blowing drying Josh's hair. I thought it was adorable.
Josh's Dad was there to help with the final details of getting dressed.
Charlotte peaking in on Josh getting dressed :)
Charlotte's grandmother watching as she got ready. Charlotte's Mom and Grandmother were so excited.
Because the house was a short walk to the beach, they decided it would be best to see eachother beforehand so they could walk to the ceremony together.
I did the first look right behind the house everyone was staying. Charlotte wanted to some none beach pictures, so this was the perfect spot I think.
On the way to the beach there was a neat little spot with some beautiful light coming through. So we stopped there for a couple quick portraits.
Almost to the ceremony location!
It was right before the sun was about to set. So for the ceremony there was so harsh sunlight. But luckily it worked out by placing in this spot.
Toasts and Fun!
After the ceremony it was time for a short and sweet toast. Charlotte and Josh brought a glass for me for a toast. How sweet is that? Unfortunately I didnt get to drink it as I got caught up with portraits.
This was everyone in attendance. Just close family. I loved that we were able to literally get great portraits of all the family there.
They set up a toast table with some snacks.
Portraits like this are so important to me. Charlotte with her mom and sister, and grandmother. I just love the lighting and their dress colors.
Sometimes you just have to dance on the beach. To break up portraits with the bride and groom, I will often ask them to do something different, dancing, tickling whatever works!
After family portraits the family headed back to the house to spruce up for dinner at a local restaurant on the island. I did a couple more sets as the sun went down. Being able to begin shooting before sunset and all the way through really made for a diverse and fun set of portrait images.
